Stop & Shop Recalls Veggie Burgers That Could Contain Listeria

QUINCY (CBS) – A veggie burger sold at Stop & Shop has been connected to a growing nationwide frozen food recall over listeria concerns.

The supermarket said it's pulling some Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burgers off store shelves because they contain vegetables that are part of the CRF Frozen Foods recall.

The 10-ounce packages have a sell by date of Jan. 27, 2018 to April 13, 2018. The UPC code is 8086800010.

Anyone who bought the product should not eat it and can return it to Stop & Shop for a full refund.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes deadly infections in the elderly, frail or young children.
