Maynard Man Charged With Third OUI In Last Month
MAYNARD (CBS) – A Maynard man was arrested on drunk driving charges for the third time in just over one month.
Thomas Madden was arrested Thursday night around 8 p.m. after an officer saw him speeding on Powdermill Road with no headlights on.
The officer recognized Madden's car after seeing him driving earlier in the day with a suspended license.
After he was stopped on Powdermill Road, Madden was arrested for fourth offense operating under the influence and several other charges.
Madden was held on $10,000 bail in advance of his scheduled arraignment at Concord District Court.
"Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of this individual's reckless decision to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and with a suspended license," Maynard Police Chief Mark Dubois said. "We have zero tolerance for this behavior and I want to remind residents to never, under any circumstances, get behind the wheel if you have been drinking."
