Baker Not Voting For Donald Trump Or Hillary Clinton

BOSTON (CBS) - Donald Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee for president, but that doesn't matter to Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker.

At an event at Jamaica Pond Wednesday, the governor told reporters, "I'm not going to vote for Mr. Trump, and I sincerely doubt I'll be voting for Hillary Clinton either."

"I certainly found this to be one of the most troubling election cycles across the board I've seen in my lifetime."

Baker, the state's leading Republican, endorsed New Jersey governor Chris Christie in the New Hampshire primary. After Christie dropped out of the race, Baker refused to back Trump, who won the Massachusetts GOP primary easily.

He didn't budge Wednesday.

"I question whether he's got the temperament to serve as president," Baker said of Trump. "I think Secretary Clinton has some real believability issues."

When asked if he'd write in someone for president, the governor said, "It'll depend on who else is on the ballot."
