With Tom Brady's Suspension Back On, Ticket Prices Drop For Patriots Home Opener

FOXBORO (CBS) – Will Patriots fans pay top dollar to watch their team if Tom Brady's not on the field?

Possibly not, according to some figures released by ticket seller StubHub. A spokesman for the company tells WBZ-TV that ticket prices have dropped for the game against the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 18.

Pats fans are facing the real possibility that they won't see Brady for four games to start the 2016-2017 season after an appeals court reinstated his "DeflateGate" suspension on Monday.

Dolloff: Here's Why The Patriots Will Win All 4 Games Of Brady's Suspension

"The average ticket price sold for the game on StubHub was $469 on Sunday and it's dropped to $426 today," StubHub said Tuesday. "We expect that to keep dropping if Brady stays out."

On the other hand, StubHub says there is very high fan interest in the game where Brady would likely return from his suspension. Searches for the Week 5 matchup between the Patriots and Browns in Cleveland were up 94 percent, according to StubHub.
