Ducklings Rescued In Lexington After Falling Into Storm Drain
LEXINGTON (CBS) -- Eight ducklings are safe with their mother after being rescued from a storm drain.
The Animal Rescue League responded to calls that a group of ducklings had fallen into a storm drain Sunday afternoon. Lexington police and firefighters helped rescuers lift multiple drain covers to find them.
The mother heard the ducklings quacking and arrived at the scene, according to the Animal Rescue League.
Responders shot video of the mother duck as they walked the ducklings six blocks to a local creek.
The mother duck followed and was reunited with her babies.
