Three Mass. Theaters Honoring Prince With 'Purple Rain' Showings

BOSTON (CBS) – In tribute to music icon Prince, his 1984 film "Purple Rain" will be shown at theaters around the country, including three in Massachusetts starting on Saturday.

AMC Theatres will be showing Purple Rain in 87 theaters around the country.

Among the venues showing the film are AMC locations on Boston Common, Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers, and in Methuen.

Purple Rain will run from Saturday through April 28.

Prince was found dead at his Minnesota estate on Thursday. A cause of death has not yet been released.
