Which Companies Pay The Most? Glassdoor Names Highest-Paying Employers

BOSTON (CBS) – A local company is on a new list of the highest-paying employers in America.

Boston Consulting Group comes in at No. 8 on Glassdoor's ranking of the "25 Highest Paying Companies In America for 2016."

The career website says the median paycheck at the global management consulting firm is $147,000, with median total compensation topping $150,000.

Coming in first in the country with a median total compensation of $167,534 is A.T. Kearney. You'll have to work long and hard for that payout though, as one review on Glassdoor says some projects at the Chicago consulting firm require 80-90 hours of work a week.

The top 25 ranking is determined by looking at salary reports voluntarily shared by employees over the past year.
