Warm Temperatures On Marathon Monday Bode Well, Not Runners
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Marathon is almost here!
The weather couldn't be more perfect for friends, family, and runners visiting Boston this weekend. A steady warm up continues each day until Monday evening. Then a cold front will give us a brief chance for rain and a cool down for mid-week.
Focusing on the near-term though…
Saturday
Plenty of sunshine, a gusty north wind and highs in the mid-50s. Though we stay cooler along the coast, Cape, & islands.
There is a Red Flag Warning in effect Saturday 10 a.m.-to-6 p.m. This means we have a high risk for wildfires and a high potential for them to spread very quickly. This is due to the gusty north wind 25-35 mph and the low relative humidity levels.
Sunday
Sea breezes develop during the afternoon. Along the coast, temps will be around 50 degrees, while inland temps soar into the mid-60s.
