Sports Final: Red Sox Lineup Shows Attitude, Energy In First Week

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Red Sox return to Fenway Park on Monday after a 3-2 start to the season on the road.

The Sox took two of three against the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend, overcoming early deficits in each of their wins. Brock Holt clubbed a grand slam in Friday night's 8-7 win, as Boston erased a 7-2 Jays lead, and they overcame an early 2-0 hole in Saturday's 8-4 victory. 98.5 The Sports Hub's Tony Massarotti joined Steve Burton on Sunday night's Sports Final on WBZ-TV to discuss the first week of the 2016 season, and likes the potential he has seen from the team's offense so far.

"What I like more than anything is when you look around the diamond, at [Dustin] Pedroia, [Travis] Shaw, [Xander] Bogaerts, [Brock] Holt or whoever is in left field, [Jackie] Bradley Jr., [Mookie] Betts, [Blake] Swihart – you see young guys or guys who play with some attitude and energy," said Mazz. "Seven of the nine spots in the starting lineup are guys who will play with some level of intensity and urgency. There is energy in that starting lineup, and to me that's the biggest takeaway from the first week."

Mazz also discussed concerns in the Boston rotation after ace David Price, how Travis Shaw has looked at third base, and Pablo Sandoval's exploding belt. Watch the full clip in the video above, and catch Sports Final every Sunday night at 11:35 p.m. on WBZ-TV!
