Man Charged With Murder In Beverly Shooting
BEVERLY (CBS) -- A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in Beverly Saturday night.
Beverly police officers were called to a shooting on Ropes Street around 10:30 p.m. They found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was rushed to Beverly Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Justice Galarza of Beverly later turned himself in to Salem police.
Investigators say the shooting happened inside the home, adding that it appears Galarza and the victim knew one another. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
Local and Massachusetts State police are investigating the shooting.
Galarza is expected to be arraigned Monday in Salem District Court.
