NightSide - The Human Cost Of Welfare

BOSTON (CBS) - Welfare programs are intended to help out those in need. The idea behind programs like food stamps or housing assistance is to help those who have fallen on hard times pick themselves back up and become productive members of society once more. But have these programs had unintended consequences by creating an attitude of entitlement among those who benefit from them? Lisa Conyers, policy analyst for the DKT Liberty Project, talks with Dan about these concerns and her new book, "The Human Cost of Welfare".

Originally broadcast April 5th, 2016.
