Isaiah Thomas And Mark Wahlberg Now Thunder Buddies

BOSTON (CBS) -- Isaiah Thomas not only led the Celtics to a win over the Raptors on Wednesday night, but he may have found a new buddy.

A thunder buddy, that is.

Thomas, who scored 23 points in Boston's 91-79 win over Toronto, noticed Dorchester native Mark Wahlberg sitting courtside with his family during the win. He also noticed he was sporting some pretty sweet kicks, and decided to show Marky Mark some love.

After hitting a clutch corner three with 6:43 left, giving Boston a 74-70 edge at the time, Thomas pointed to Wahlberg, who returned the gesture.

The C's All-Star spoke of the budding friendship after the win.

"We got a little friendship brewing," Thomas joked. "That was my first time ever seeing him. Once they showed him on the Jumbotron, I had to find out where he is. I hit the shot, I definitely had to point, too."

So might we see a buddy comedy starring Wahlberg and Thomas in the near future? The point guard sure hopes so, but he'd settle for a pair of those snazzy sneakers.

"Something, I need something," said Thomas. "And he's got some nice Jordans that nobody else got. So I need those too."

Let's hope Floyd Mayweather doesn't get too jealous of his little buddy's new friendship.
