1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Cambridge Shooting

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – One man died and another was seriously wounded in a shooting near Mount Auburn Hospital late Tuesday night.

Cambridge Police were called to the 300 block of Mt. Auburn Street just before 10 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

They found two men wounded and rushed both to nearby hospitals.  One man later died, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.  Cambridge police said the other man is in stable condition.

The victims have not been identified.  There have been no arrests.

A short time after the shootings there was a car fire on Coolidge Avenue, but police said it's not clear whether that incident is related to the shootings.

No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
