16-Year-Old Arrested After Deadly Shooting In Chelsea
CHELSEA (CBS) – A 16-year-old boy from Lynn has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Chelsea.
The shooting happened early Sunday morning at an apartment building on Washington Ave.
Prosecutors say 19-year-old Pablo Villeda was killed and seven others were wounded. The other victims are between the ages of 15 and 22 and suffered injuries that ranged from minor to very serious.
Police say the victims and others had attended a party in a vacant apartment when the shots were fired.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, will be arraigned Tuesday. Juveniles who are accused of murder are automatically charged as adults under Massachusetts law.
