Phantom Gourmet: A Walk Through Waltham
BOSTON (CBS) -- Some of the Phantom Gourmet's favorite restaurants are in Waltham.
Flying its way into the Waltham restaurant scene, "Red Bird" walks the line between casual and sophisticated, both in terms of atmosphere and food.
Still going strong after a decade on Moody Street, Tempo is a creative Bistro with a stylish bar, standout dishes like coffee rubbed hanger steak, flash fried calamari with a "Shanghai" dipping sauce.
Hidden behind their sister delicatessen, "Moody's Back Room" is a top notch wine bar specializing in Artisan Charcuterie that's made on site.
Everything from their flatbreads to Wagyu beef meatballs is cooked in a hand-made, copper dome, and wood burning oven.
You can also get a great breakfast at "In a Pickle", an enormous steak and cheese from "Carl's", and authentic southern barbecue from "Bison County."
