Identical Twin Brothers Shatter Track Records At Natick High School
NATICK (CBS) - Lucas and Myles Holt are always in sync and inseparable. "Really we are never apart we are doing the same thing we train together. We train together, study together and we sleep in the same room," Myles said.
The 17-year-old identical twins also happen to be speed demons on the Natick High School track team. Between the two of them they've set more than eight school records, but the two are most dangerous in the relays.
Now their relay team is on their way to nationals in New York. Their teammates Chris Peabody and Brian Holihan cherish their humble leadership. "For me, they push me and they are great role models," Brian Holihan said.
The two are also extremely humble. "Lucas pushes me to the best I can be. It's like a brotherly competition," Myles said.
Lucas looks up to his brother as well. "Myles has definitely taught me to be humble to everybody and be nice to people. He is always with me in my training," Lucas said.
Boys track coach Matthew Miller says the Holt brothers set an example and have put Natick High School track team on the map. "It makes that success they have in track more enjoyable because their humility is infectious," Coach Miller said.
Both have earned Division 1 college track scholarships. Lucas will be attending Northeastern University and Myles is headed to the Ivy League, Dartmouth College.
"As we move on to college and go our separate ways hopefully I will get to compete against him soon I look forward to that," Lucas said.
