Teen Stabbed At Dunstable House Party

DUNSTABLE (CBS) -- Police say a Pepperell teen stabbed another teen at a house party on Adams Street early Saturday morning.

Aaron Fox, 18, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police said additional charges may follow.

Dunstable Police responded to reports of a fight and disturbance at the home around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. They found a teenage male with multiple stab wounds. One officer gave medical aid to the victim while a second searched for the suspect. He was found walking near the intersection of Adams and Kemp streets.

The victim was taken to Lowell General Hospital, and later went to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston by medflight. His injuries are serious, and he underwent emergency surgery later Saturday. His current condition is unknown.

"Our officers responded swiftly and professionally to a violent crime in progress and were able to render aid to the victim while simultaneously securing the perimeter," Dunstable Police Chief James G. Downes III said. "We do not believe this was a random act of violence. The victim and suspect appear to be known to each other. This is a senseless act of violence in our community, but we want all residents to know that there does not appear to be any danger to the public."

Fox is expected to be arraigned Monday in Ayer District Court.
