Modern Rotisserie in Newton serves homestyle comfort food that will make you feel good all over. The star of the menu is the ultra-juicy chicken marinated in a top secret brine for a full day, then slow cooked for two and half hours in a rotisserie imported from France. Once they're cooked, carved, and served, there are few things better in this world.

Medford

Bob's in Medford is an eating institution that's a one stop shop for incredible Italian eats served big, fast and affordable. Bob's is part sandwich shop, part deli, and part specialty store, with sandwiches that are legendary. They're oversized and overstuffed with everything from Steak and Cheese to Chicken Parm to homemade Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Mushrooms.

The Real Deal
Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Cleveland Circle

The Real Deal in Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury and Cleveland Circle is the ultimate carry out spot for finger foods like crispy pizza, boneless Buffalo wings, crunchy onion rings and overstuffed sandwiches. Their Grown Up Grilled Cheese is unlike anything your mother used to make. This sinful sandwich is stuffed with smoked Gouda, sliced barbecue brisket and caramelized onions, before being grilled to a perfect golden brown.

Bushel n Peck
Multiple Locations

Bushel n Peck in Clinton, Worcester and Grafton, Mass is a mom and pop take out spot specializing in sandwiches that will feed you for multiple meals, like the B&P Pounder Pastrami made with a full pound of thinly sliced pastrami, Swiss cheese and mustard; or The Buster crammed with so many kinds of meats, cheeses and veggies, it can only be served on a full loaf of Italian bread.

Dartmouth

Another Great 8 winner is Max's in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Here they specialize in cravable, fun foods to carry out, like big juicy burgers, hand cut fries, extra thick potato skins stuffed with melted cheese and bacon, addictive deep fried pickles, and every dessert you can think of that's deep fried. There's deep fried Oreos, Twinkies, Cheesecake and more.

Benedetti's
Haverhill

Benedetti's in Haverill is a tiny take out sub shop that makes a larger than life sandwich known as The Rocket. This super long sub measures nearly two feet long and costs around twelve bucks. The shop has been making them for the masses since 1961, and have served so many that they've lost count.

Frigo's Gourmet Foods
Springfield

Rounding out the Great 8 is Frigo's Gourmet Foods in Springfield. This Italian superstore is a neighborhood grocery, butcher shop, bakery, and deli all rolled into one. While everything is tasty, Frigo's is best known for their outstanding grinders served on fresh, crusty Vienna rolls. Phantom especially enjoys the Carnivore, filled with as much meat as you could imagine. It's eight ounces of roast beef, bacon, horseradish sauce, and sharp cheddar cheese, served on half of a Vienna loaf.
