Tom Brady Will Attend Super Bowl Ceremony Honoring Past MVPs

BOSTON (CBS) -- Without saying anything, Tom Brady has found himself in the middle of a heated debate this week.

With the NFL hosting a ceremony on the field prior to this Sunday's game to honor all Super Bowl MVPs, and with Brady in the midst of an ongoing battle with the league over the air pressure inside footballs, many have debated whether or not the Patriots' quarterback and three-time Super Bowl MVP would show up.

Well, according to the NFL, the debate can now end. Brady will be in Santa Clara on Super Bowl Sunday.

The MVP of Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII and XLIX, as well as the winner of Super Bowl XXXIX, Brady ranks right there with Joe Montana as the most accomplished players in Super Bowl history.

Brady received the invitation from Roger Goodell last April, and he shared his excitement on Facebook.

What an honor... Hope I have my helmet on for the on-field ceremony in SF! #teameffort

A date has been set for March 3 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit regarding the NFL's appeal of Judge Richard Berman's decision to vacate the four-game suspension levied by the league over alleged deflation of footballs before last year's AFC Championship Game. It's been a saga that's been ongoing for more than a year now, but according to the NFL, it's reportedly not one that will keep Brady from taking the field on Sunday.
