Ted Cruz Attracts Hundreds To Town Hall Meeting In Nashua, NH

NASHUA, NH (CBS) - Several hundred people packed the Elm Street Middle School auditorium in Nashua, NH on Wednesday night to hear Ted Cruz.

"I kind of feel like the debate I had with Donald Trump," said Cruz referring to an empty chair.

While it was his event, Donald Trump still loomed over the evening.

"I don't think people like a temper-tantrum I mean Trumper-tantrum," said Cruz.

He joked about his rivals criticism of his Iowa caucus win.

Cruz's campaign sent out a tweet saying Ben Carson had dropped out, which was untrue. They later said it was a misunderstanding. Carson called Cruz's campaign out on the tweet saying it hurt him in the vote.

Donald Trump has also come after Cruz for a mailer he sent out in Iowa and said Cruz stole the win.

Trump campaigned in Arkansas. "Oh that voter fraud, those politicians are brutal," said Trump.

A number of voters at Cruz's Nashua event said they were still undecided. They said they were tired of the back-and-forth between Cruz and Trump.

Others said they were interested in how Cruz conducted himself on stage. One voter said he was attending a campaign event for each candidate to see who impressed him.
