Mass. Gas Prices 25 Cents Lower Than A Year Ago

BOSTON (AP) — Prices at the pump in Massachusetts continue to fall even as crude oil prices rise slightly.

AAA Northeast reports Monday that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular has dropped 3 cents to $1.81, the eighth consecutive week of price decreases.

The current price is a penny per gallon more than the national average and a quarter lower than the in-state price a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $1.63 per gallon and as high as $2.09.
