Driver Hits Pole In North Andover

NORTH ANDOVER (CBS) -- A car accident took down a telephone pole and briefly trapped a driver Sunday morning at the intersection of Andover Street and Dufton Court.

The North Andover Fire Department said the car hit the base of the pole, causing live wires to fall on both the car and street. They said the man in the car was extricated and transported.

National Grid was on scene to fix the pole.
