Regular Green Line Service Resumes After Train Derailment

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Officials are investigating after a train on the D Branch of the Green Line derailed near the Reservoir station.

Officials with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority say seven people were riding the train when it derailed around 7:30 Saturday morning. No injuries were reported.

Crews were in the area working throughout the morning.

Shuttle buses replaced service between the Reservoir and Beaconsfield stations until service resumed just before 11 a.m.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
