Bruins Activate David Krejci Off IR

BOSTON (CBS) -- It looks like David Krejci will make his return to the Bruins' lineup Thursday night against Vancouver.

The team activated their first-line center from injured reserve Thursday afternoon following his 10-game absence with an upper body injury. Krejci took some contact in practice Wednesday after returning to the ice with his teammates earlier in the week.

Boston's offense was up and down during Krejci's absence, going 5-4-1 without him in the lineup. Krejci has 11 goals to go with his 22 assists in 35 games this season, with his 33 points ranking third on the team.

To make room for Krejci on the active roster, Boston assigned forward Frank Vatrano to the Providence Bruins. The rookie played in 30 games for Boston this season, tallying six goals and an assist.
