Bruins' Krejci, Pastrnak Will Travel To Montreal

BOSTON (CBS) -- There still is no timetable for their return, but both David Krejci and David Pastrnak will travel to Montreal as the Bruins get set to face their rival on Tuesday night.

Krejci was on the ice with his teammates on Monday for the first time since he suffered an upper-body injury back on December 27. He and Pastrnak were both in green jerseys, worn by injured players not attached to a line.

After skating by himself for the last two weeks, Krejci said it was nice to finally hit the ice with his teammates.

"The guys were battling hard on the road the last 11-12 days so it was kind of lonely in here by myself," Krejci told reporters after Monday's practice. "It was good to get out there with the guys and get a real practice. Now I'm looking forward to the games."

Krejci said he's still not perfect, but every day is better.

"I need to be 100 percent skating and 100 percent shooting. I'm getting there. It was a good day today," he said.

Boston's first-line center has missed the last nine games, with the Bruins going 4-4-1 in those contests. Krejci sounds close to a return but it may be a few days before he returns to game action. He hinted that if he feels good on Tuesday, he may be able to suit up against the Habs.

"I'd like to play as soon as possible, but where I'm at right now it's day-to-day," said Krejci. "We'll see how I feel tomorrow in warmups."

Pastrnak returned earlier this month from a foot fracture he suffered on October 31, but has sat out the last three games. He's also considered day-to-day.

"I'm feeling better; [Monday] was my first practice with the team. All my focus is to get back to 100 percent and then go from there," he said. "Today was the best day so far, and hopefully tomorrow will be a good day again."

While it's likely neither play against Montreal, practicing and traveling with the team are both positive steps for Krejci and Pastrnak.
