Nor'easter Moving Through New England, But Out By Patriots Game

FOXBORO (CBS) – It was a slick morning for some, but others are dealing with all rain as a Nor'easter continues to move through New England.

But the messy weather won't last too long.

Patriots Forecast

Gillette Stadium was covered in fog and heavy rain this morning. The rain will continue through late morning, and for those early tailgaters. Take the rain gear and the winter weather gear for the game!

Here is the hour-by-hour timing through kickoff.

A steady rain continues at 9 a.m., while heavier rain will fall through noon.

But by 2 p.m. the rain will move out. It'll stay overcast and breezy throughout the afternoon.

Winter Weather

A winter weather advisory is in effect for areas outside of Route 128. This is due to a wintry mix that will change to wet snow mainly in the higher elevations.

The Worcester Hills and Berkshires could squeeze out a coating to 1" of accumulation by noon.

The jackpot zone for heavy snow will be in central New Hampshire into central Maine.

Travel will be difficult in the Green & White Mountains if you are going to any ski resorts for the holiday weekend.

Wind

A northeast wind will gust up to 30 mph as the storm center passes to our east.

Cape Cod & Nantucket will likely experience the worst of the wind, with gusts up to 45 MPH.

A wind advisory has been issued there to 3pm. The wind will subside by 7pm this evening.
