Whitey Bulger Companion To Plead Guilty To Contempt Next Month
BOSTON (CBS) -- Catherine Greig, the long-time girlfriend of former Boston mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, will plead guilty to contempt early next month, the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts announced Wednesday.
The one-count contempt indictment stems from her refusal to testify before a grand jury that was attempting to find out if anyone else helped or harbored Bulger while he was in hiding.

Greig is currently serving eight years in prison for helping Bulger avoid capture during the pair's 16 years on the run. They were captured in Santa Monica, California in 2011.
