Uxbridge K9 Involved In Crash Night Before Swearing-In Ceremony

UXBRIDGE (CBS) -- An Uxbridge K9 is recovering after being involved in a cruiser crash on the day before he would be sworn in to the department.

Sutton police were chasing a car on Route 146 South Monday evening when it crossed into Uxbridge and crashed into an Uxbridge K9 cruiser. The K9 Bear and his handler were taken to nearby hospitals.

Both were treated and released. Bear will still be sworn in as an offical member of the Uxbridge Police Department during Tuesday's Selectmen meeting.
