Man Stabbed Several Times In Braintree Road Rage Incident

BRAINTREE (CBS) – Braintree police are investigating a suspected case of road rage that led to a stabbing on Granite Street right by Rt. 93.

Witnesses said it appeared a man driving a Honda was stabbed in his upper body.

"Just saw a guy lying in the ground near the car, people throwing blankets on him," said Dan Sheehan.

He and his friends looked out from the Barnes and Noble parking lot toward the street. "We heard him screaming," said Josh Ledger.

Sheehan captured video of people rushing to help the man on the ground. He said drivers stopped and helped the man before an ambulance arrived.

Police said the apparent road rage started at the intersection of Granite Street and Forbes Road. About 50 feet before the light at North Street, police said both driver's got out of their vehicles and one stabbed the other several times.

The victim was a 30-year old Randolph man who was in the hospital Thursday night.

Witnesses said a woman and a Golden Retriever were also in the Honda.

The suspect took off. Crime scene investigators stayed at the scene until about 8 p.m. They placed several evidence markers and looked through the grass.

Detectives were still interviewing witnesses.
