One Killed, One Injured In Mattapan Shooting
BOSTON (CBS) -- Police are asking for information from the public after one man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Mattapan Tuesday morning.
The shooting took place shortly before 9 a.m. on Wilmore Street. The street was still closed at noon Tuesday, as police searched for a suspect they say took off in a black Honda Acura.
Both men were taken to area hospitals, where one later succumbed to his injuries. The other man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans visited the scene of the shooting, saying it was another example of guns being in the wrong hands.
