Edelman, Amendola Among Patriots Out For Game Against Jets

BOSTON (CBS) -- The New England Patriots announced Saturday that wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola won't play against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The team made the announcement on their Twitter page.

Edelman is still recovering from a foot injury, while Amendola has a knee injury.

Two key members of the Patriots' secondary have also been ruled out for the game, as safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung are dealing with hip and ankle sprains, respectively.

The Patriots made some moves on Saturday, claiming former Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Troy Hill and signing wide receiver Chris Harper.

The team also reportedly released wideout Leonard Hankerson.
