Boston Area Theater Tickets May Be Last-Minute Holiday Gift Option

BOSTON (CBS) -- With just three shopping days remaining before Christmas, many of you may be scrambling to find a gift for that person who has everything.

One option to consider is the gift of theater.

Broadway in Boston hosts "Beauty and the Beast." It opens at the Boston Opera House on Washington Street Jan. 6, 2016.

In February 2016, "Pippin" hits the stage. The revival launched at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, and then went on to win several Tony Awards. The show runs from Feb. 2 through Feb. 14.

"Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812," which is nearly sold out, and "The Pirate Princess" are currently playing at the ART.

Lyric Stage Company of Boston, the city's oldest professional theater on Clarendon Street, will debut "Sondheim on Sondheim" on Jan. 15.
