Cambridge Firefighter Wins 'Survivor'

BOSTON (CBS) -- Jeremy Collins, a Cambridge firefighter from Foxboro, has been crowned champion of "Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance" on CBS and won the $1 million prize.

Collins, 37, originally competed in "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" along with his wife, Val, landing in tenth place. Val was pregnant with the couple's second child while Jeremy competed in Cambodia.

This season, Collins was able to impress fans by snagging two Hidden Immunity Idols--and surprised viewers by using one to protect fellow contestant Stephen Fishbach from getting voted off, leading to Ciera Eastin's departure. He was also the first person on the show to win a Hero Duel.

Cambridge Fire Fighters Local 30 posted on their Facebook page to congratulate Collins:

Congrats to our brother @jeremy2collins for winning Survivor...we're all very proud and happy for you, Val, Jordyn, Camryn, and soon to be baby boy ????????????????????
