Clothes For Needy Hang From Boston Common Trees
BOSTON (CBS) — In this season of giving, someone has taken that spirit to heart and is giving warmth to those who need it most.
If you were to walk on the Boston Common, near the bandstand, you'll see clothing tied to trees, with notes.
"I am not lost," the notes read. "Please take what you need to keep warm."
No one knows who has donated the mittens, wool hats and scarves, but passersby have been impressed.
"These are tough times for some people. . . any help is needed," said one man.
Another man stopped and took a picture.
"I see homeless vets all the time. . and I try to donate to them. This hits home," he said.
