'Disgusting!' Video Shows Birds Eating Meat In Chicopee Walmart
CHICOPEE (CBS) -- Some grocery shoppers at a Chicopee Walmart lost their appetite when they saw birds eating packaged meat inside the store.
Video of the unusual scene shot by shopper Rhonda Kitchen on Saturday afternoon has been shared nearly 2,000 times on Facebook.
"This is disgusting! I will never buy food from there ever again," Kitchen wrote "I feel like the Board of Health should be notified. After the employee who came to collect the meat they were eating walked away, the birds came right back."
The health department did in fact investigate the Walmart on Monday and 17 birds were removed from the building, Western Mass News reports.
Walmart tells Western Mass News that the company has taken measures to make sure the birds don't come back.
