Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In UMass Dartmouth Indecent Exposures

NORTH DARTMOUTH (CBS) -- UMass Dartmouth Police have released a composite sketch of a man who allegedly exposed himself to different women multiple times over the past month.

Police have received four separate reports about the indecent exposures on campus, according to the UMass Dartmouth Police Facebook page. The incidents occurred in the area of Lots 3, 14, 15, and 16.

The most recent incident happened on Monday morning around 9:15 a.m. at Lot 16, just a couple days after another incident on Friday shortly before noon near Lot 3, police said.

They also received reports on Nov. 6 around 4:30 p.m. near Lot 14 and on Oct. 19 around 1:15 p.m. at Lot 16.

Investigators say the incidents most likely involved the same suspect based on the description they've been given by the victims.

The man is described as having a light-to-medium complexion, standing about 5-foot-10 inches tall, with thick black hair, thick eyebrows, and closely-cropped facial hair.

On Monday, the man was spotted wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants of an unknown color, investigators say. He also was carrying a blue-and-green LL Bean backpack with a tan border, police said.

In past incidents, police say he was seen wearing gray or blue-colored sweatpants and athletic shorts, as well as a similarly-colored sweatshirt.

New Bedford Police helped create the sketch after speaking with one of the victims. The man is wanted for questioning, police say.
