Stoughton Woman Asks Thieves To Return Brother's Stolen Ashes

STOUGHTON (CBS) – Thieves breaking into cars in Stoughton stole clothes, wallets and someone's ashes. A woman is pleading with the thieves to bring her brother's remains back.

Danielle Correia still mourns the loss of her beloved brother Jonathan who died last December at 25.

Jonathan was cremated, but Danielle kept a small amount of his ashes in a prescription bottle that she was keeping in her car.

But sometime in the middle of the night, Danielle's SUV was broken into. She lost money, credit cards, and Jonathan's ashes.

"You feel like a part of him has been stolen," Danielle says.

"I just want that back," she says. "Turn it in to whoever and no hard feelings that's irreplaceable just don't throw him away just give him back to me."

One of Danielle's credit cards was found outside of a nearby bank but nothing else.
