'Supergirl' A 'Surreal And Crazy Experience' For Melissa Benoist

BOSTON (CBS) - Presidential candidate Jeb Bush thought she was 'hot' and it appears audiences agree - "Supergirl" is the hottest show on network television these days.

The CBS show, starring Melissa Benoist as the title character, became a ratings hit last week when it premiered October 26.

It was also one of the top 5 most tweeted shows of the week.

"Working on this show is a pretty surreal and crazy experience," Benoist told WBZ-TV's Chris McKinnon Monday.  "We've just been talking about how stunned and dumbfounded we are every day that we get to do what we do."

"I just immediately knew it was something I wanted to be a part of the second I saw 'Supergirl' in the title of the email that I got for the audition."

"They pulled it off really, really well," said co-star Mehcad Brooks who plays photographer James Olsen.  "It's a movie every week."
