Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes With 6-Year-Old In Car

MARSHFIELD (CBS) -- A Marshfield woman is facing drunk driving charges after her car struck a pole on Route 28 in Yarmouth.

Yarmouth police was alerted about a possible drunk driver Saturday evening when they received a report of the crash at the intersection of Higgins Crowell Road and Route 28. The vehicle fled the scene. Minutes later the car struck a utility pole and caught fire.

The driver, 35-year old Christine Cogill, was was taken to a nearby hospital. Her six-year-old daughter was also in the car but was not hurt.
