BOSTON (CBS) – Marblehead Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison met Russian President Vladimir Putin while participating in a forum with other Olympians in Moscow.
Harrison, who won the gold medal for the United States in judo during the 2012 Olympics, was a presenter at the inaugural World Olympics Forum.
The event was launched by the World Olympians Association along with the Russian Olympic Committee to “celebrate Olympism and the achievements of Olympians worldwide.”
More than 280 people took part in the forum from over 100 countries.
“What a pleasure to meet another judoka who loves the sport as much as I do,” Harrison said on her Instagram account.
