3-Alarm Fire Destroys Newton Home

NEWTON (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a 3-alarm blaze at a home in Newton late Sunday evening.

Firefighters responded to the home on Bishopsgate Road shortly before 10p.m. Officials say the fire started in the chimney and spread to the rest of the house, eventually bursting through the roof.

It's unclear how many people were in the home. Officials say no one was hurt.
