People Who Drink Black Coffee More Likely To Be Psychopaths, Study Claims

BOSTON (CBS) -- How you take your coffee could say a lot about you.

That's according to a study from Austria that says people who prefer their coffee black and bitter are more likely to be psychopaths.

"The results . . . confirmed the hypothesis that bitter taste preferences are positively associated with malevolent personality traits, with the most robust relation to everyday sadism and psychopathy," researchers said.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kendall Buhl set out around Boston to interview black coffee drinkers and put the study to the test. He also asked one server in Allston if she thought there was some truth to the claim about those who drink black coffee.

"Now that you mention that, I can see that," Tanya said. "Wow, that's crazy."
