Is The iPhone 6s Waterproof? Video Shows Submerged Devices Working

NEW YORK (CBS) -- Apple has been selling a record amount of new iPhones since their recent launch, but it turns out they may be even better than advertised.

A technology reviewer decided to put the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to a waterproofing test.

The YouTube video will probably make iPhone users cringe as they watch the brand-new devices get submerged in two bowls of water.

But even after an hour underwater, the phones seem to hold up just fine. And in an update 48 hours later, the reviewer says the phones still work, including the Touch ID and speaker functions.

It's probably not a good idea take your iPhone for a dip just yet, however. Apple has not confirmed the phones are, in fact, waterproof.
