National Coffee Day On Tuesday: Freebies In The Boston Area

BOSTON (CBS) -- Tuesday, September 29 is National Coffee Day, and several places in the Boston area are offering a free cup of joe and other perks to coffee drinkers.

Dunkin' Donuts will be handing out free medium hot or iced cups of its Dark Roast coffee all day Tuesday.

Cumberland Farms customers can get free coffee on Tuesday by texting FREECOFFEE to 33733.

Whole Foods has been selling 12-ounce cups of coffee for only 25 cents throughout September.

Brooklyn Water Bagels in Framingham is offering a free "Cold Brewsta" on Tuesday, and a 12-ounce cup of hot coffee is $1 through the end of September.

 

Staples may not have baristas, but it's also getting in on the fun. The office supplies store is asking people to tweet their best #OfficeMugShot this week to be entered to win a "sweet coffee prize pack"

McDonald's is offering free small coffees at locations in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire on Tuesday.

Peet's Coffee is handing out free small cups of Major Dickason's blend with food purchase.

Starbucks says they won't be giving away free coffee, but instead promises to plant a tree when anyone buys a bag of coffee in a Starbucks store, starting Tuesday.
