Bill Belichick Joins Zolak & Bertrand To Discuss Upcoming Hall Of Fame Huddle

BOSTON (CBS) -- Scott Zolak and Marc Bertrand were joined by a very special guest on Thursday afternoon, as Patriots head coach Bill Belichick called in to discuss his upcoming Hall Of Fame Huddle for the Bill Belichick Foundation.

After a rousing introduction from one Mr. Jon Bon Jovi, the coach previewed what his event will be about. With Zolak serving as the event's emceee, Belichick was asked to evaluate the former QB's skills on the stage.

"He's great. Scott's got a great flair, a lot of energy on the stage. We've all seen that at the kickoff dinner," Belichick said. "I just hope it doesn't turn into a roast on me, because sometimes it does."

Belichick anticipates some entertaining talk at the event, which will feature Patriots legend Troy Brown.

"We'll talk about some of the things that happened during the season, some of the plays, the way some of the season unfolded, and talk about some of the games, some of the plays," Belichick said. "Certainly, Troy from his Super Bowl experiences I think can relate some of the things that happened last year to some things that happened in the '01, '03, '04 seasons."

Given that his team is currently 2-0 and looking at the prospect of another very successful season, some comparisons have been made between this year's Patriots team and the 2007 squad. Belichick didn't specifically compare the two teams, because he says each team develops its own identity.

"Each team is different. Every team's got their own strengths and weaknesses and every team develops its own personality. Over the last 15 years, I'd say each team has found a way to win," Belichick said. "Each one is a little bit different. I try not to make this team look like that team or some other team but to just take each group of players collectively and just try to figure out how do we get the most out of this group of players. Some years you have to win differently than you win in other years, but in the end you're just trying to find a way to win."

Before Belichick hung up, Zolak had to tell the coach that Ernie Adams has become a breakout star after his appearance in the NFL Films special "Do Your Job."

"Great. I appreciate it. It was fun to do," Belichick said. "Nobody does it better than NFL Films. Seems like everything they do is something that you enjoy sitting back and watching in the afternoon or evening.
