Patriots Injury Report: Bryan Stork Placed On IR

BOSTON (CBS) -- It's official: Bryan Stork won't be playing in the Patriots' season opener.

Stork, who missed three days of practice with a concussion this week, was declared out for Thursday night's game against the Steelers on Wednesday.

It gets worse too, as Stork was reportedly been placed on the injured reserve with the designation to return. He won't be eligible to return to practice until after Week 6, and can't play until after Week 8.

That means Bill Belichick will have to find someone else to snap the ball to Tom Brady, with Ryan Wendell a likely candidate. Rookie center David Andrews could also see some playing time.

Not having the Stork could be big a big loss for the Patriots, as he helped solidify the shaky the offensive line that plagued New England early in 2014.

Also on the Patriots first Injury Report of the season, safety Tavon Wilson (quad), running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring) and defensive lineman Trey Flowers (knee) were all listed as questionable for Thursday's game.
