Newlywed Claims $4M Scratch Ticket Prize Day After Marriage
RAYNHAM (CBS) -- This seems like a good omen for a newly married couple.
One day after Timothy Sullivan of Raynham wed his wife Tanya, he claimed the $4 million prize he won from the "100X The Cash" instant ticket game.
The postal worker was on his way to work to fill in for a colleague who needed to leave for the day when he decided to stop at a convenience store and pick up the lucky $10 ticket.
Sullivan will receive a one-time payment of $2,600,000, less taxes. He said he plans to use the money on a honeymoon, student loan payments, two new cars and to build an "oasis" in his backyard.
Save More Gas & Convenience Store in Raynham will get a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The Lottery says there are still three more $4 million prizes and seven $1 million prizes left in the game.
