Kenny Chesney Hires Hopkinton Hot Dog Stand For Gillette Stadium Concerts

HOPKINTON (CBS) – A popular Hopkinton hot dog stand is taking its show on the road for a country music star this weekend.

Snappy Dogs on Grove Street will be closed for business on Friday and Saturday because they've been hired by Kenny Chesney to feed him and his crew at his Gillette Stadium concerts this weekend.

Co-owners Lisa Volpe Hachey and Teresa Boyce have never met Chesney.

His staff was searching local food trucks on Roaming Hunger.  They found Snappy Dogs and liked what they saw.

"We got a phone call on the Snappy Line on Monday asking if we cater," Boyce told WBZ-TV.

"And a man named Shane said, 'Hi, I'm with Kenny Chesney,' and I said yeah that's big enough," said Volpe Hachey.

Chesney and his crew ordered hot dogs, chili and cookies for 200 people

"We are doing a private party for Kenny Chesney, his crew, his band and a special guest, whatever that means," Volpe Hachey said.

"This is our brush with celebrity."
