Daily Talker: Green Line Expansion Uncertainty

The MBTA's Green Line expansion into Somerville and Medford could be in jeopardy.  Yesterday, MBTA officials announced they might need another billion dollars to complete the project, that's on top of the $1.99 billion dollar price tag.  Residents and businesses have long awaited the expansion which would connect close to five miles of Somerville and Medford, including Tufts University, with seven new stations to downtown Boston.  But the Transportation Secretary says they may need to find additional funding, scale back plans, or cancel them all together.

We want to know what you think.  Are you upset by the MBTA's possible plans to cancel the Green Line expansion?  Are you directly affected?  In light of this winter, should the T focus on getting service up to speed instead of expanding?
