Flames Rip Through Vacant Fall River Schoolhouse
FALL RIVER (CBS) – A vacant Fall River school building was destroyed by fire Saturday morning.
Flames were shooting through the roof of the Coughlin School on Pleasant Street just before 9 a.m.
The building, which opened in 1893, is a former elementary school that has been vacation for several years.
Mark Costa, Vice Chairman of the Fall River School Committee, posted a picture of the fire, showing heavy flames ripping through the building.
No further information on the fire is currently available.
